Summary Translation:
But of what avail is this detailed knowledge to you, O Arjuna? I simply pervade and support this entire universe with but a single fragment of My self.
Krishna concludes the chapter by identifying the 'Theoretic Transcendence of the Absolute.' He says, 'athavā bahunaitena kiṁ jñātena tavārjuna'—but what (kim) is the use of this detailed (bahunā) knowledge (jñātena) to you, O Arjuna? This analysis focuses on the 'Theoretic Sufficiency of Faith.' Krishna is telling Arjuna that 'Knowing the details' is good, but 'Knowing the Essence' is enough. He then delivers the most powerful line of the chapter: 'viṣhṭabhyāham idaṁ kṛitsnam ekāṁśhena sthito jagat'—I exist (sthitaḥ) supporting (viṣhṭabhya) this entire (kṛitsnam) universe (jagat) with but a single fragment (eka-anśhena) of My being. This detailed analysis reveals that Krishna defines the 'Universe' as a 'Minor Event' in His existence. If the entire universe—with all its galaxies, gods, and beings—is just 'One Fragment,' then the Lord is 'Infinite' beyond our wildest imagination. This shloka provides a ' Framework for Divine Magnitude.' It teaches that God is not 'Stored' in the world; the world is 'Supported' by God. Krishna is telling Arjuna that 'I am not just the best of things; I am the power that keeps the whole show running with a tiny part of Me.' This is the ' Goal of the Devoted Seeker,' where 'The Magnitude' is 'Realized'.
The detailed analysis of 'Ekāṁśhena' (With a single fragment) is the 'Theoretic Description of the Lord's Sovereignty.' In our practical lives, we get overwhelmed by the world's problems. Krishna is stating that the 'Entire World' is just a 'Small Thing' to Him. Krishna is defining 'The Self' as the 'All-Pervading Support.' This shloka provides a 'Framework for the Ultimate Peace.' It teaches that if He can support the universe with a fragment, He can surely support our small lives. Krishna is defining 'Kṛitsnam' as the ' Completeness' of the manifest world. This verse is the ' Proof that the Lord is the context of everything.' By listing this 'Concluding Statement,' He covers 'The End of the Search.' This shloka is the 'Universal Manual for Absolute Surrender,' forcing us to realize that 'We are safe because the One who supports the stars is the One who is speaking to us'. This is the ' Goal of the Fulfilled Seeker,' where 'The Support' is 'Localized'.
