Summary Translation:
I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me. The wise who perfectly know this engage in My devotional service and worship Me with all their hearts.
Krishna identifies the 'Theoretic Foundation of Chatur-shloki Gita.' He says, 'ahaṁ sarvasya prabhavo mattaḥ sarvaṁ pravartate'—I am (aham) the origin (prabhavaḥ) of everything (sarvasya); from Me (mattaḥ) everything (sarvam) emanates/acts (pravartate). 'iti matvā bhajante māṁ budhā bhāva-samanvitāḥ'—understanding this (iti matvā), the wise (budhāḥ) worship (bhajante) Me (mām), filled with devotion (bhāva-samanvitāḥ). This analysis focuses on the 'Theoretic Necessity of Divine Causality.' Krishna explains that the entire universe—both the 'Para' (Spiritual) and 'Apara' (Material)—is a 'Pravritti' (Expansion) of His energy. In the 'Theoretic Framework of Devotional Wisdom,' worship is not an emotional whim but a 'Logical Response' to the discovery of the Source. This detailed analysis reveals that Krishna defines 'Budhāḥ' (The Wise) as those whose 'Intelligence' has reached the conclusion that God is the 'End-all and Be-all.' This shloka provides a ' Framework for Integrated Bhakti.' It teaches that 'Bhāva' (Feeling) must be 'Samanvitāḥ' (Informed/Accompanied) by 'Matvā' (Correct Understanding). Krishna is telling Arjuna that 'When you realize that every atom moves by My will and every soul exists because of Me, your heart will naturally overflow with a devotion that is both deep and rational.' This is the ' Goal of the Wise Worshiper,' where 'The Logic' is 'Loving'.
The detailed analysis of 'Mattaḥ sarvaṁ pravartate' (Everything emanates from Me) is the 'Theoretic Description of Universal Propulsion.' In our practical lives, we see 'Secondary Causes' (like laws of physics or human effort). Krishna is stating that He is the 'Primary Cause' that empowers all 'Secondary Causes.' Krishna is defining 'The Self' as the 'Dynamo of Existence.' This shloka provides a 'Framework for the Radical Sovereignty of the Divine.' It teaches that 'Bhajante' (Worship) is the 'Harmonic Alignment' with the Source. Krishna is defining 'Bhāva' as the 'Internal state of ecstatic realization' that follows the 'Intellectual realization.' This verse is the ' Proof that true wisdom leads to surrender, not to pride.' By starting the 'Chatur-shloki' (The four key verses of the Gita) with this claim, He establishes the 'Theistic Monism' of the Gita. This shloka is the 'Universal Manual for the Intellectual Seeker,' forcing us to realize that 'To know the Source is to love the Source'. This is the ' Goal of the Enlightened Seeker,' where 'The Emanation' is 'Recognized'.
