श्रीभगवानुवाच |
सुदुर्दर्शमिदं रूपं दृष्टवानसि यन्मम |
देवा अप्यस्य रूपस्य नित्यं दर्शनकाङ्क्षिण: || ११.५२ ||

Summary Translation:

The Blessed Lord said: My dear Arjuna, the form you are now seeing is very difficult to behold. Even the demigods are ever aspiring to see this form which is so dear.

Detailed Analysis:

Krishna identifies the 'Theoretic Rarity of the Personal Form.' He uses the word 'su-durdarśham'—meaning extremely difficult to see. This analysis focuses on the 'Theoretic Superiority' of the two-armed human-like form over even the cosmic Vishvarupa. This detailed analysis reveals that Krishna defines His personal form as the ' Pinnacle' of divine manifestation. He notes that 'devā apy'—even the demigods—are 'nityaṁ darśhana-kāṅkṣhiṇaḥ' (always longing for a vision of this form). This shloka provides a ' Framework for the Value of Intimacy.' It teaches that while power can be displayed to many, the ' Sweetness' (Madhurya) of the personal form is reserved for the most intimate devotees. Krishna is telling Arjuna that 'The ' Privilege' you possess exceeds that of the celestial beings in the higher planes.' This is the ' Goal of the Aspiring Seeker,' where 'The Form' is 'Localized'.

The detailed analysis of 'Nityaṁ Darśhana-kāṅkṣhiṇaḥ' (Always desiring the vision) is the 'Theoretic Description of Spiritual Thirst.' In our practical lives, we value what is 'Huge.' Krishna is defining 'The Self' as the 'Ultimate Beauty' that attracts even the most powerful entities of the universe. This shloka provides a 'Framework for the Hierarchy of Vision.' By placing the 'Mānuṣha-rūpa' above the 'Viśhva-rūpa' in terms of rarity, Krishna is establishing the ' Pre-eminence of Bhakti.' Arjuna is defining 'Su-durdarśham' as the ' Barrier' that only love can cross. This verse is the ' Proof that God's personality is more profound than His infinity.' By mentioning the 'Devas,' he covers the 'Universal Appeal' of the Lord's beauty. This shloka is the 'Universal Manual for Valuing the Personal God,' forcing us to realize that 'Even the masters of the universe seek the touch of the Divine Friend'. This is the ' Goal of the Privileged Seeker,' where 'The Rarity' is 'Localized'.
