॥ Chapter 12, Shloka 15 ॥

यस्मान्नोद्विजते लोको लोकान्नोद्विजते च य: |
हर्षामर्षभयोद्वेगैर्मुक्तो य: स च मे प्रिय: || १२.१५ ||

Summary Translation:

He for whom no one is put into difficulty and who is not disturbed by anyone, who is freed from happiness and distress, fear and anxiety, is very dear to Me.

Detailed Analysis:

Krishna identifies the 'Theoretic Equilibrium of the Devotee.' He presents a 'Two-way Harmony': 'yasmān nodvijate loko' (by whom the world is not agitated) and 'lokān nodvijate cha yaḥ' (who is not agitated by the world). This analysis focuses on the 'Theoretic Liberation' from 'harṣhā-marṣha-bhayo-dvegaiḥ' (joy, envy, fear, and anxiety). This detailed analysis reveals that Krishna defines 'Dearness' as the ' State of Emotional Independence.' This shloka provides a ' Framework for Social Peace.' It teaches that a true bhakta is neither a ' Victim' nor a ' Oppressor.' Krishna is telling Arjuna that 'The ' Power' of the soul is found in its ' Immunity' to the ' Noise' of the world.' This is the ' Goal of the Unshakeable Seeker,' where 'The Freedom' is 'Localized'.

The detailed analysis of 'Harṣhā-marṣha-bhayo-dvegaiḥ' (Joy, envy, fear, anxiety) is the 'Theoretic Description of the Four Agitators.' In our practical lives, these four ' Forces' dominate our day. Krishna is defining 'The Self' as the 'Untouched Reality' that remains 'Mukto' (freed) from these. This shloka provides a 'Framework for the Non-reactive Mind.' By making the world ' Safe' from oneself, one becomes ' Dear' to God. Arjuna is defining 'Udvijate' (agitation) as the ' Vibration' that prevents vision. This verse is the ' Proof that the Lord values peace as a social and personal imperative.' By listing 'Amarṣha' (envy/intolerance), he covers the ' Root' of social conflict. This shloka is the 'Universal Manual for Emotional Intelligence,' forcing us to realize that 'We are truly spiritual when we are no longer a source of trouble for others, and others are no longer a source of trouble for us'. This is the ' Goal of the Harmonious Seeker,' where 'The Peace' is 'Localized'.
