॥ Chapter 4, Shloka 9 ॥

जन्म कर्म च मे दिव्यमेवं यो वेत्ति तत्त्वतः |
त्यक्त्वा देहं पुनर्जन्म नैति मामेति सोऽर्जुन || ४.९ ||

Summary Translation:

One who knows the transcendental nature of My appearance and activities does not, upon leaving the body, take his birth again in this material world, but attains My eternal abode, O Arjuna.

Detailed Analysis:

Krishna reveals the 'Secret of Liberation through Divine Knowledge.' He says, 'janma karma cha me divyam'—My (me) appearance (janma) and activities (karma) are 'transcendental/divine' (divyam). 'evam yo vetti tattvatah'—thus (evam) whoever (yah) knows (vetti) 'in truth' (tattvatah). 'tyaktva deham punar janma naiti'—after leaving (tyaktva) the body (deham), he does not go to (naiti) another birth (punar-janma). 'mam eti so 'rjuna'—he (sah) comes (eti) to Me (mam), O Arjuna. This analysis focuses on the 'Redemptive Power of Spiritual Understanding.' Krishna is stating that merely knowing 'of' Him is not enough; one must know Him 'Tattvatah' (In Reality). This means understanding that His birth is not karmic and His actions are not selfish. When a seeker realizes the 'Divinity' of Krishna's Lila, their own consciousness becomes 'Divinized.' They become 'Un-Hooked' from the material cycle of *Samsara*. The 'Knowledge' of the Absolute acts as a 'Fire' that burns up all past Karma. This is the 'Shortcut to Moksha'—loving and understanding the Lord leads directly to His eternal abode.

The detailed analysis of 'Tattvatah' (in truth) is the ' Description of Realized Wisdom.' In our practical lives, we have ' Knowledge.' Krishna is stating that 'Experiential Realization' of His divinity is the goal. Krishna is defining 'The Self' as 'That which is compatible with the Divine.' This shloka provides a 'Framework for Ultimate Success.' It teaches that 'Liberation' is not just a 'State of Mind' but a 'Change of Destination.' Krishna is defining 'Mam Eti' (comes to Me) as the 'Conclusion of the Journey.' This verse is the ' Climax of Chapter 4's introduction'—it explains why Krishna is telling Arjuna all this. By understanding Krishna, Arjuna can fight and still be free. This shloka is the 'Universal Guarantee of the Path of Grace,' forcing us to realize that 'Relationship with God is the fastest way to Freedom'. This is the ' Goal of Eternal Union,' where 'The Individual Soul' finds its 'Home'.
