Summary Translation:
Do not be troubled or bewildered by seeing this terrible form of Mine. With a mind free from all fear and full of joy, see once again that former form of Mine which you desire.
Krishna identifies the 'Theoretic Consolation of the Devotee.' He commands 'mā te vyathā' (let there be no trouble) and 'mā cha vimūḍha-bhāvo' (let there be no bewilderment). This analysis focuses on the 'Theoretic Transition' from the 'rūpaṁ ghoraṁ' (terrible form) back to 'vyapeta-bhīḥ' (freedom from fear). This detailed analysis reveals that Krishna defines His relationship with Arjuna as one of 'Preeta-manāḥ' (pleased mind). This shloka provides a ' Framework for Divine Empathy.' It teaches that the Lord does not want His devotee to live in perpetual 'Ghora' (terror), even if that terror is born of His own majesty. Krishna is telling Arjuna that 'The ' Intensity' of the vision is being dialed down for your sake.' This is the ' Goal of the Comforting Seeker,' where 'The Peace' is 'Localized'.
The detailed analysis of 'Vimūḍha-bhāvo' (Bewilderment/Stupefaction) is the 'Theoretic Description of the Human Reaction to the Infinite.' In our practical lives, we get overwhelmed by 'Big Events.' Arjuna sees that 'Theoretic Overload' is the natural state of a soul facing the Absolute. Krishna is defining 'The Self' as the 'Protective Presence' who says 'Fear not.' This shloka provides a 'Framework for the Return of Rationality.' By saying 'See that former form once again,' Krishna is closing the ' Gap' He had opened. Arjuna is defining 'Preeta-manāḥ' as the ' Re-ignition of Joy.' This verse is the ' Proof that the Lord values the devotee's peace over His own display of power.' By mentioning 'Vyapeta-bhīḥ,' he covers the 'Catharsis of Terror.' This shloka is the 'Universal Manual for Moving from Awe to Love,' forcing us to realize that 'God is most Himself when He is most accessible'. This is the ' Goal of the Soothed Seeker,' where 'The Return' is 'Localized'.
