Summary Translation:

They believe that to gratify the senses is the prime necessity of human civilization. Thus, until death, their anxiety is immeasurable. Bound by a network of hundreds of thousands of desires and absorbed in lust and anger, they secure money by illegal means for sense gratification.

Detailed Analysis:

In these verses, Lord Krishna provides a Portrait of the psychological state of those with a demonic nature. He states that they are Bound by Chintam-aparimeyam (limitless anxiety) that lasts until Pralayantam (the end of life). This Analysis reveals that when a soul rejects the Peace of God, it inevitably falls into a Abyss of worry. Their Priority is Kamopabhoga-parama—the gratification of the senses—as they have Concluded that this is all there is. This Materialism is the Root of their suffering. In Shloka 12, Krishna describes them as being Tethered by Asha-pasha-shatair (hundreds of snares of hope and desire). These Snares prevent the Liberation of the soul. Driven by Kama-krodha (lust and anger), they engage in Greed, seeking to accumulate wealth through Anyayena (illegal or unrighteous) means. For a Hindu, this behavior is a Violation of Dharma. Krishna is Highlighting that Obsession with wealth and pleasure leads to Degradation. The Significance of this section is that it demonstrates how Desires create a Cage. They are Blind to the fact that Satisfaction of the senses can never lead to Fulfillment. Krishna’s Diagnosis proves that the demonic path is Doomed to eternal restlessness. This verse serves as a Warning to stay Aligned with the Divine to avoid the Snares of material world. It establishes that Wealth obtained through unrighteousness results in Bondage.
