In this verse, Lord Krishna describes the Spiral of the demonic soul. Those who are Asurim-yonim-apanna (born in demonic species) become increasingly Mudha (deluded) with each Janmani-janmani (birth after birth). This Cycle is a Warning about the Inertia of demonic qualities. Krishna states that such souls Mam-aprapyai-eva—can never approach Me. This is not because the Lord is Selective, but because their Nature is Repelled by His presence. The analysis reveals that the Gap between the demonic and the Divine grows larger over time. For a Hindu, this leads to the Adhamam Gatim—the most abominable state of existence. This Sinking is the ultimate Failure of the soul. Krishna is Identifying that Progress is Blocked for those who Reject the path of virtue. The Significance of this shloka is that it shows how Persistence in sin becomes Habitual. Krishna’s Diagnosis proves that the Bottom of the universe is reserved for those who Despise the Supreme. This Descent is the Consequence of Pride. The Lesson here is that one must Break the cycle of sin before it becomes Permanent. Krishna Guides Arjuna to Aspire for a higher Birth. This verse serves as a Warning against Stagnation in lower modes. It reinforces the Necessity of Aspiration for the Divine. Ultimately, Salvation is a Choice that must be made before the soul Sinks into the Abyss of the demonic.
